The Widow Mrs. Johnny (Rhonda) Jerkins. Mrs. Jerkins is truly a child of the Lord. Last year, her only son, Little-J, after spending too much time in the sun was mistaken for an intruder and shot to death by Landover security. Several godly volunteers with the Landover Entre Nous Grief Counseling Center moved in with Mrs. Jenkins to help her sort out her priorities in her time of loss. Called by God, Mrs. Jenkins donated all of Little-J's life insurance proceeds to Landover Baptist, which is why she qualifies this year as a Platinum Wings Tither.

Mr. & Mrs. Reginald Hancock have been members of Landover Baptist for 34 years. Both of their lovely daughters were baptized and then married in the main chapel. Mrs. Hancock has the largest Pontiac dealership in Iowa. It is the generosity of the Hancocks that made possible the $185,000 tableau vivant "Jews Laughing While They Kill Jesus" 67 foot mural in Hallway J of the Second Sanctuary. 

Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Beck own the Baptist Bookstore at Landover Christian Mall. Their daughter Diane Sue was runner-up for Best Biblical Recitation last year at Landover Christian Academy. The Becks are on the brink of tithing enough to make Diane Sue Coming-Home-To-Jesus Queen at the Landover Christian Academy homecoming. Please encourage them to do so when you see them.

Mr. & Mrs. Yum Sum Ki own 14 beverage stores in the negro neighborhoods of major American cities and, like Landover, are used to dealing in cash. They renounced their oriental/heathen ways 4 years ago, were baptized in the blood and have been Platinum Wings Tithers ever since. They have enjoyed meeting other nonwhites in the special glassed-in seating area set aside for them for services.

Mr. & Mrs. William Butler own the world's largest Internet-based company that finds Christian women in the former USSR, converts them to Southern Baptists and arranges godly marriages with them for lonely American men of God who can't otherwise find women one-third their age to give them the time of day, much less marry. Their Godly work in bringing about Christian marriages has allowed them to be Platinum Wings Tithers for almost 10 straight years.

Mr. & Mrs. Phillip Smith have been with our congregation for almost 26 years. They have been Platinum Wings Tithers for most of the past 12 years (with the exception of 1995 and especially 1996 when they didn't even qualify as Gold Wings Tithers and had their Landover Country Club privileges withdrawn). Thanks to smart investments and refinancing their home at Calgary Hills, they have remained current since then. Praise the Lord for prodigal tithers that return to the fold.
